    Privacy Policy

Effective date: March 5, 2026 · ChronX Protocol / Counselco · [email protected]

ChronX is built on a single privacy principle: we never store what we don't need. Your wallet, your keys, your transactions — they belong to you and the blockchain, not to us.

    1. Who We Are

ChronX is a blockchain protocol for time-locked payments, developed by Counselco. This policy covers the ChronX Wallet application (Android and Windows), the ChronX website at chronx.io, and the ChronX API and notification services.

    2. Information We Do Not Collect

We want to be clear about what we deliberately do not collect or store:

    • We do not store your private keys — ever. They exist only on your device.
    • We do not build a general-purpose database linking email addresses to wallet addresses. The only email–wallet associations that exist are the specific request records described in Section 3.
    • We do not store claim codes after they are delivered. They are emailed and immediately discarded from our servers.
    • We do not sell, share, or monetize any user data.
    • We do not display advertisements or allow third-party tracking.
    • We do not require account registration to use the wallet.

    3. Information We Do Collect

What we collect depends on which part of ChronX you use. The purpose-by-purpose inventory:

Wallet: Nothing. Your keys are generated and stored only on your device and are never transmitted to us. Balances and transactions are read from the public blockchain (see Section 4).

Email-delivered KX (optional): If you choose to receive KX via email, your email address is used to deliver a one-time claim code. We use a one-way cryptographic hash (BLAKE3) of your email address to match incoming payments on-chain. The plaintext email is used only for delivery and is not stored in association with your wallet address. Claim codes are discarded from our servers immediately after delivery.

Faucet and exchange requests: If you request KX from the faucet or use the exchange, we collect your email address and wallet address to process and fulfill your request, and we retain that request record for operational and compliance purposes (see Section 8).

Support requests: If you contact us via the support form, we collect your email address, your message, and — if you choose to provide it — your wallet address, in order to respond to you.

Ask AI: Questions you ask the Ask AI assistant are sent to our AI provider solely to generate the answer. Do not include private keys, claim codes, or other secrets in your questions.

Exchange interest signups: If you sign up to be notified about exchange listings, we store your email address for that notification purpose only.

Website and download analytics: We record anonymous page-view and download counts and general geographic region (country level) via Cloudflare headers. No personally identifiable information is collected.

Node rewards registration (opt-in): If you voluntarily register for node rewards, you explicitly consent to providing both your email address and wallet address, which we associate to calculate rewards eligibility and notify you when rewards become available. Your wallet balance may be visible to the ChronX team for the purpose of administering the rewards program. You may request deletion of this registration at any time by contacting [email protected].

    4. Blockchain Data

ChronX is a public blockchain. All transactions — including transfer amounts, wallet addresses, timelock parameters, and timestamps — are recorded permanently and publicly on the ChronX DAG. This is inherent to how blockchain technology works. Do not use ChronX for transactions you wish to keep private from the public blockchain record.

We strongly recommend not publicly associating your real identity with your wallet address, as blockchain records are permanent and immutable.

    5. Email Notifications

When someone sends KX to your email address, our notification service sends you a one-time claim code. We use Resend (resend.com) to deliver these emails. The claim code is generated by your wallet, transmitted to our API for delivery, and immediately discarded — it is never stored on our servers. Resend's privacy policy applies to email delivery.

    6. Email Verification

When you add an email address to your wallet for monitoring incoming payments, we send a verification code to confirm you own that address. This code expires in 10 minutes and is discarded after use. This process exists to protect the privacy of third parties — preventing anyone from monitoring another person's incoming transactions without their consent.

    7. Trusted Contacts

The Trusted Contacts feature (which allows others to send you payment requests) stores contact information locally on your device only. This data is never transmitted to our servers.

    8. Data Retention

    • Claim codes: deleted immediately after delivery
    • Email verification codes: deleted after use or expiry (10 minutes)
    • Plaintext email addresses used for delivery: not retained beyond delivery, except where a request record below applies
    • Faucet and exchange request records (email + wallet address): retained for operational and compliance purposes
    • Support tickets: retained until resolved, then archived for 12 months
    • Ask AI conversations: not retained by us beyond generating the answer; the AI provider's own policy applies
    • Node rewards registrations: retained until you request deletion or the program ends
    • Website and download logs: retained for 90 days in aggregate form

    9. Your Rights

You may request deletion of any personal data we hold about you by contacting [email protected]. Note that we cannot delete blockchain transaction records — those are permanent by design. We can delete any off-chain records (email addresses, support tickets, faucet records) upon request.

    10. Security

All data in transit is encrypted via TLS. Private keys never leave your device. Our servers do not have access to your funds at any time. The ChronX protocol uses post-quantum cryptography (ML-DSA-44, NIST FIPS 204) for all transaction signing.

    11. Children

ChronX is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

    12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the protocol evolves. Material changes will be announced via the wallet's notice system. The effective date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
